If you are an employee who works in downtown Nashville like me, I wanted to let you know that it is officially Downtown Nashville Employee Appreciation Week! It is fun to work downtown but lets be honest.. we have to put up with a lot. There are events, tourists, tv shows and concerts happening here 24/7.. so we deserve an appreciation week! There is free stuff and events happening all week long! Here are the events and what is happening each day this week:
MONDAY, OCTOBER 5
Start your week off by dropping in at the Goo Goo retail store between 2 and 3 p.m. and enjoy a complementary sweet treat and register for prizes. The Goo Goo shop is located at 116 3rd Avenue South.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6
Fresh and Local at the Nashville Farmer's Market: Join downtown co-workers at the Nashville Farmer's Market between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and fill up a complimentary bag of fleshly harvested produce from Smiley's Farm. Enjoy live music while bagging your veggies. Then, eat lunch at one of the nineteen restaurants and shops inside the Market House and shop with any of the 40 farmers, artisans and merchants inside and outside. (Located at 900 Rosa L. Parks Blvd. outside in Farm Shed 2.)
Tasty Tuesday: Praline Party at Savannah's Candy Kitchen! All downtown employees who stop by the Broadway store will receive a complimentary praline between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. Located at 310 Broadway.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7
Nashville's Largest Coffee Break. There's something brewing downtown! Stop by any of these participating coffee shops between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. for a free cup of coffee during this downtown-wide coffee break. Join your co-workers for a mid-morning boost at:

Downtown Art Walk. Explore downtown's public art collection between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. by taking a guided walk with a local artist to learn about the artworks and the artists who made them. The walk will last 45 minutes. Complimentary box lunches will be available after the walk for those who register and participate.
October is "Artober" in Nashville as we celebrate our city's vibrant arts and culture scene all month long. The arts are everywhere with hundreds of Artober Nashville events happening and there is something for everyone to enjoy from visual and performing arts, crafts, film and more. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8
Corporate Tug of War. Bring your co-workers to Walk of Fame Park while you watch corporate teams battle for the title of Downtown Nashville's Tug of War Champion. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9
