Lights at Opryland Hotel

If you're going to visit Nashville during the holiday season, be sure to check out the holiday lights display at the Opryland Hotel! This is a must-see attraction and best of all, it is free to see! Opryland Hotel was built in the 1970s and is one of the largest hotel resorts in the USA. This is the 32nd year that the hotel is having their "A Country Christmas" lights display and it features 2.3 million holiday lights, 15,000 poinsettias, 15 miles of green garland, 10 miles of hand-tiled ribbon, a 48-foot Christmas tree, a tubing attraction and a huge ice display.

The Christmas lights attraction opened last Thursday, so Adam took us out there on Friday to see it! The hotel has changed so much since I was last there about 14 years ago and it has built several additional wings! While we were there we ate at the upscale Mexican restaurant, Solario Cantina, in the Garden Conservatory atrium. I highly recommend it! We had never had Mexican food cooked their way before and it was really unique and delicious.

A couple had just gotten married in the hotel before we arrived so it was fun to see all the decorations up for the wedding ceremony and reception!

Also, before we left, I looked around the hotel boutique, Amelia's boutique. Beware of this place because it has so many fabulous shoes, jewelry, clothes, boots, and best of all.... faux fur! They had the best selection of faux fur jackets, vests etc. that I have ever seen. I couldn't believe the fur wasn't real..... so I may make a trip back just for some some faux fur items ;)

This hotel is absolutely huge and it is easy to get lost in there, so be careful! My favorite parts of the display were the horse drawn carriages outside and the gigantic Christmas tree!

Here are some snaps that I took on Snapchat while we were there:

Here are some better photos that I found online of the lights display here, here, and here:

Absolutely gorgeous! Such a fun way to get into the holiday spirit! Let me know what you think of the lights at Opryland!!
